College Scholarship Opportunities

The Family Credit Union is proud to offer scholarships to help students in the Quad Cities, Perry, Muscatine, Beardstown, and Omaha areas continue their education.
Keith Ruefer Memorial Scholarship
The Keith Ruefer Memorial Scholarship is awarded to one credit union member or family member who is entering or attending the University of Iowa. The application deadline is in April, and the scholarship is awarded in June. Applications may be submitted via email to support@familycu.com or at any Family Credit Union branch.
Kevin Post Memorial Scholarship
The Kevin Post Memorial Scholarship is awarded to one credit union member or family member who is entering or attending an accredited college or university. The application deadline is in April, and the scholarship is awarded in June. Applications may be submitted via email to support@familycu.com or at any Family Credit Union branch.
Family Hispanic Scholarship
The Family Hispanic Scholarship is awarded to one credit union member or their family member of Hispanic heritage who is entering or attending an accredited college or university. The application deadline is in April, and the scholarship is awarded in June. Applications may be submitted via email to support@familycu.com or at any Family Credit Union branch.
Each $1,000 scholarship is based on:
- Financial Need
- Academic Achievement
- Extracurricular Involvement
